Tasting notes
- Exterior
Deep purple ruby. - Scent
Strawberry jam, dried figs, plums, black cherries, cassis mousse, dried prunes, eucalyptus, fern, geranium tobacco leaves, burnt wood chips, black pepper, cloves and a touch of caramel. - Taste
On the nose I would expect a bit more full body, but it's pretty friendly and drinkable. It has a medium body. The tannins and moderate acidity are well-balanced, creating a concentrated fruit-based wine. There is a burnt, dry, minty impression with strawberry and plum aromas . - Food that goes well with
Pork shabu-shabu, grilled pork, yakitori with sauce, duck, refreshing tomato-based pasta, stewed beef, hayashi rice, hamburg steak. - Note creator
Mizue, Daniel, Hitomi.
