Introductory notes

This wine is undoubtedly a top Cabernet Sauvignon of Romania. With a classic style reminiscent of the top wines from Bordeaux, the wine exhibits high quality and is suitable for aging in the bottle for many years.

Tasting notes

  • Appearance
    Deep ruby.
  • Nose
It has powerful yet elegant aromas. Blackberries, blackcurrants, black cherries, plums, cassis, lavender, cloves, nutmeg, cumin, rosemary, dill, celery leaves, dried rose petals, vanilla, coconut, chocolate, coffee, black pepper, ink, smokiness, tobacco leaves, cedar, wet leaves, leather, forest soil, wet wool, mushrooms, and farmyard, all contribute to its complexity.
  • Palate
It has a smooth and elegant flavor, with a firm body. The harmonious balance of firm tannins and ample acidity makes it a very well-balanced wine. Romanian Cabernet Sauvignon is known for its soft tannins and smooth texture right from the moment you uncork it, making it easy to enjoy.
  • Food pairing
It has a robust and strong character, making it an excellent match for dishes with well-seasoned and structured flavors. Due to its firm tannins, it pairs exceptionally well with heavy-flavored dishes such as red meat and game. It complements dishes like oven-baked beef, grilled pork, hot pot dishes, miso-glazed grilled silver cod, breaded tiger prawns, and wagyu steak beautifully. It's also a great wine to enjoy on its own at a wine bar or similar setting.
