Characteristics of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and wines

Cabernet Sauvignon thrives in warm climates. It can also be found in a moderate climate, usually in the warmest spots.

These grapes come with thick skins packed with loads of color, flavor, and tannin.

Wines made from Cabernet Sauvignon tend to have a deep, rich color, with bold aromas of black fruit (blackcurrant, black cherry) in warmer climates and herbal (mint) or herbaceous (green bell pepper) in moderate climates. On the palate, these wines are usually medium to full-bodied, dry, high in acidity, and high in tannins.
