Enjoy this wonderful Czech Welschriesling, which comes with all three categories of aromas: primary, secondary, and tertiary.
Hints of citrus, stone fruit, and tropical fruits dominate the primary aromas. The secondary aromas come with yeast-derived scents reminiscent of bread and cheese. The tertiary aromas are still in their early stages but feature subtle notes of nuts and honey.
The palate is sharp and dry, yet the acidity is not overpowering, resulting in a well-balanced profile. The wine has a slight oily viscosity and a medium body.
The finish is relatively long, with the lingering presence of tertiary aromas such as cheese, almond, toast, and honey.
The wine region
The Moravia region in the Czech Republic is a fantastic wine destination blessed with a wonderful natural environment. While mass production might be a no-go, Moravian wines are internationally recognized for their exceptional quality. You'll find that Moravian white wines stand out for their richness, fruity undertones, and a hint of spice.
Tasting notes
- Appearance
Bright, medium-golden color. - Nose
This one's a scented symphony! Picture this: grapefruit, pear, peach, pineapple, melon, acacia flowers, elderflower, apricot, damp stones, candles, gunpowder (yes, you read that right!), brioche, cheese, almonds, toasty goodness, and a touch of honey. It's like a fragrant adventure for your senses! - Palate
Alright, let's break it down! This one's got a dry taste, a moderate level of acidity, and a middle-of-the-road alcohol content. It's a medium-plus body, with a nice, long-lasting aftertaste. And when it comes to flavor intensity, it's packing a bit of a punch – not too strong, but definitely noticeable. Cheers to a well-balanced sip! - Food pairing
How about some seafood pasta, grilled herb-infused shrimp, smoked salmon, or pan-fried carp?
