Alongside it's Aligote counterpart, it is a true representation of the potential of the Dobrogea region.
Tasting notes
- Appearance
A healthy, radiant medium lemon color with golden hues. - Nose
The rich, fresh primary aromas intertwine with the elegant secondary aromas, revealing a splendid complexity. Notes of wildflowers, elderflower, grapefruit, pear, peach, pineapple, lychee, lemongrass, citrus fruits, and apple are accompanied by a mineral sensation derived from limestone soils (wet stones, flint), buttery notes from malolactic fermentation, freshly baked bread from sur lie aging, and vanilla, nutty, toasty almond, and coconut aromas from barrel aging. - Palate
Dry and moderately high in acidity, with a medium alcohol content and a medium-plus body. The intensity of the flavor is strong and memorable. It has a voluminous mouthfeel, with an exceptionally creamy texture. The slightly elevated acidity tightens the wine, showcasing wonderful harmony. Amidst the assertive tropical fruit notes, nuances of oak contribute to an elegant complexity. Dominant nuances include mineral (flint), nutty, and brioche-like characteristics. The finish is long and beautifully polished. - Food pairing
It pairs wonderfully with dishes such as chicken in butter cream sauce, carbonara pasta, mushroom dishes, butter-steamed clams, miso-marinated cream cheese and creamy crab salad.
