Shumi Winery is located in the Tsinandali district of eastern Georgia’s Kakheti region. Committed to quality, Shumi manages every step of production in-house, from vineyard management to bottling. With state-of-the-art equipment, the winery is dedicated to reviving traditional Georgian winemaking practices.
Shumi owns estate vineyards within a specific cultivation area (micro-zone), placing high value on its appellation. It was the first winery in Georgia to adopt organic farming practices in 2005.
The quality of Shumi wines is internationally recognized, with over 300 medals awarded in wine competitions around the world.
Tasting Notes
Appearance
Pale lemon color with a greenish tint.
Nose
Aromas of melon, white cherry, lemon, green apple, pear, chamomile, acacia, fennel, white pepper, and mineral notes.
Palate
Round and pleasantly rustic, with a mild mouthfeel. Medium intensity with moderate acidity, it is a light-bodied, youthful wine with a dry finish and moderate alcohol.
Food Pairing
Best enjoyed with white fish, grilled chicken (salt-seasoned), and Lebanese cuisine.
