Zidvey Winery is located in the Transylvania region in central Romania. Known as the birthplace of Dracula, Transylvania is a unique region steeped in history, legends and charm.
Ethnic groups such as Romanians, Hungarians, and Germans coexisted in this region and created a unique culture by living together. The wisdom and experience of many peoples have led to the development of great techniques in various fields, including wine production.
The total area of vineyards owned by Zidvey is 2,300 hectares and the altitude ranges from 200 to 500 metres. Most of the fields have slopes facing south and the soils are brown or riparian soils.
Moderate temperatures during ripening prevent oxidation and provide a good balance of sugar, acidity and aromas.
Each Zidvey wine has its own personality and reflects the efforts and knowledge of the winemaker. The selection of vineyards, the methods of wine production and the passion of the producers have resulted in Zidvey wines.
Thanks to their efforts, Zidvey wines have become world-famous and have won many medals at international wine competitions.
