Metamorfosis Winery

The story of Viile Metamorfosis is a charming tale. It's a story of Italian marquises, Romanian terroir, and a winemaker full of passion and talent. The story of Viile Metamorfosis winery began with the visit of Mr. Giancorrado Ulrich to Romania in 2001. Impressed by the locally produced wines and Romania's potential in producing quality wines, upon returning to Italy, he proposed to Marquis Piero Antinori to invest in Romania.

The Antinori family is a legendary family with a history of over 600 years in winemaking, and the decision to invest in Romania was a testament to their confidence in the potential of the Romanian terroir.

The chosen area was Dealu Mare, where, together with the well-known oenologist, Mr. Fiorenzo Rista, and the president of the company, Mr. Giancorrado Ulrich, they created the Viile Metamorfosis project.

Mr. Fiorenzo Rista is one of the most valuable oenologists in Romania.
