Introductory notes
A beautiful Romanian red blend. Awarded a gold medal at the AWC Vienna 2019 International Wine Competition and another gold medal at MUNDUS VINI 2020.
Its strong aroma draws you in from the moment it touches your palate. From grape-derived scents to oak barrel and bottle aging aromas, the balance of all flavors is impeccably executed. As the tannins are firm, letting it breathe for about 45 minutes after uncorking is recommended. Exposure to air will result in a velvety texture on the palate.
Tasting notes
- Appearance
Intense ruby-red. - Nose
The aroma is intense and rich, ranging from the primary to tertiary. It has notes of blackberry, black plum, blueberry, cassis, black pepper, vanilla, cream, toast, smoke, licorice, nutmeg, clove, tobacco, chocolate, cocoa, forest floor, leather, damp leaves, nuts, and pine seeds. - Palate
Dry, with slightly elevated acidity and abundant tannins. High alcohol content, full-bodied wine. The flavor is intense, with notes of black fruits, spices, malolactic fermentation, and aging in oak barrels. The finish is long. There's a beautiful balance between rich fruitiness and elements derived from oak. It's very juicy, with a robust body. The rich and soft tannins leave a lasting impression. The texture evokes velvet, showcasing elegance. It's delightful to drink. The aftertaste is long, reminiscent of black fruits and spices. - Food pairing
This wine pairs well with spiced meat dishes, beef dishes with red wine sauce, game meats, aged soft cheeses, and lasagna made with plenty of meat.
