The Manufacturer

The history of Râureni began in 1968, with the establishment of the first factory in the town of the same name, located in Vâlcea County. Râureni is an international food manufacturer known for its delicious products made with natural ingredients.

Product Description

Râureni Blackcurrant Confiture is a natural Romanian product made from fresh black currants. Blackcurrants are rich in antioxidants and phytonutrients, containing more phenols than any other fruit. They are also an excellent source of vitamins such as vitamin A, B complex, P, and PP, as well as anthocyanins, mineral salts, and organic acids like malic, citric, and tartaric acid.

Consuming blackcurrants can have beneficial effects, including revitalizing the body, reducing stress, and improving digestion, memory, and vision. Blackcurrants are relatively rare in Japan and are most commonly available in jams or preserves.

How to Enjoy It

The simplest way to enjoy Blackcurrant Confiture is to spread it generously on a slice of fresh, crusty bread or toast. It pairs exceptionally well with creamy cheeses such as brie or goat cheese, making it a perfect addition to a cheese platter.

Blackcurrant Confiture can also be used as a glaze or sauce for meat dishes, particularly game meats like duck or venison. Additionally, it makes a delightful filling for pastries such as thumbprint cookies or turnovers, adding a burst of fruity goodness to baked goods.

Breakfast pastries like croissants, scones, and muffins can also be elevated with a spoonful of Blackcurrant Confiture.
