Tasting notes
Appearance
Bright and deep ruby with a subtle purple tint.
Nose
Fruit-forward and expressive. Aromas of ripe plum, blueberry, blackberry, and morello cherry are layered with cocoa notes. As the wine opens, hints of licorice, cloves, earth, and subtle woody nuances emerge.
Palate
Medium-sweet and rich in red fruit character. The smooth sweetness is balanced by firm tannins and lively acidity. Flavors of morello cherry, sour cherry, and licorice-like spice create depth. Despite the residual sugar, the wine maintains a clean and refreshing profile that makes it easy to enjoy.
Food pairing
Perfect with cupcakes made using Magiun, bittersweet cocoa-based desserts, or salty snacks like popcorn. It also complements savory dishes featuring tonkatsu sauce or red meat sauces with a hint of sweetness. Excellent alongside aged cheeses.
