Overview

In the Villány region of Hungary, the Blauer Portugieser grape variety is incredibly popular, with most wineries cultivating it. It’s a grape that appears in various local stories and songs, making it a cherished symbol among the people.

Label message

"Macska" means "cat" in Hungarian. This wine series is inspired by an old local tale of a devil who fell in love, with each of Villány’s five wines representing a different character from the story. The cat embodies qualities of kindness, approachability, and universal charm.
