Prokupac variety

Prokupac is Serbia's flagship indigenous grape variety, also known as "Prokuplje" or "Kameničanka." Its roots trace back to the small town of Prokuplje in southern Serbia.

The history of Prokupac is incredibly old, with records dating back to the 14th century.

While production has recently thrived in the Toplica region of Prokuplje, it has also been gradually expanding to northern and southern Serbia.

It is also cultivated in Kosovo and North Macedonia.
