Tasting notes

  • Appearance
It has a bright, deep, ruby color with a hint of purple.
  • Nose
It has a fruit-forward aroma with notes of ripe plum, blueberry, blackberry, morello cherry, and a hint of cocoa. After some time, hints of licorice and cloves emerge between the fruit notes. There's also a slight earthiness and some woody notes.
  • Palate
It has a medium-sweet taste with a fruit-forward character. You can enjoy the smooth sweetness and subtle hints of spices, along with flavors of morello cherry, sour cherry, and licorice-like nuances. The wine has firm tannins and sufficient acidity, providing a well-balanced combination of sweetness and acidity. Despite being medium-sweet, it doesn't come across as overly sweet, making it very enjoyable to drink.
  • Food pairing
It pairs well with cupcakes made with Magiun, as well as cupcakes with a hint of bitter cocoa flavor or savory snacks with a strong saltiness, like popcorn. In terms of savory dishes, it complements dishes with tonkatsu sauce or red meat sauces that have a slightly sweet character. It also pairs wonderfully with aged cheeses.
