Daniel's comments

Jidvei is one of Romania’s most respected wineries, rooted in the picturesque Transylvanian subregion of Târnave. Here, under strict viticultural practices, they cultivate high-quality grapes that thrive in limestone soils, long sunny days, and cool nights. These ideal conditions allow Jidvei to craft sparkling wines with fine, persistent bubbles and graceful finesse.

The Rosé Brut is a romantic and expressive sparkling wine made entirely from Pinot Noir. Harvested at night to preserve its fresh acidity, the grapes are carefully sorted, and only the highest-quality juice is used. The result is a sparkling rosé that radiates charm and precision.

Expect elegant notes of red berries, florals, and spice, complemented by refined aromas developed through bottle aging. Rich in fruit character yet smooth in texture, this wine offers a delicate, balanced, and sophisticated experience.

Tasting notes

Appearance

A radiant pink-rose hue with a subtle shine. After over 15 months of bottle aging, the bubbles are refined, vibrant, and beautifully integrated.

Nose

Fresh and fruit-driven, the aromas reveal layers of wild strawberry, raspberry, acerola, cranberry, red plum, pink grapefruit, orange peel, cherry, and tomato leaf. Hints of pink pepper add a gentle spice, while classic notes of dough and brioche bring elegance from traditional-method aging.

Palate

The wine opens with a burst of ripe fruit, followed by subtle spice. Bright acidity supports the vivid flavors, creating a harmonious and well-balanced profile. With moderate alcohol and a silky texture, it leaves a refined and polished impression.

Food pairing

Pâté de campagne, ratatouille, marinated seafood, salmon sushi, octopus sashimi, and salads with fresh figs and cured ham.
