Deep ruby color with garnet hues. - Scent
Aromas of ripe black cherry, blackberry, plum, black pepper and clove. Cocoa and clove nuances derived from barrel aging and nuances such as leather and caramel derived from bottle aging also show up. - Taste
At first you feel the nuances of black fruits. The spice derived from the barrel is also moderate. The tannins are rich, but well integrated and fine-grained. The mouthfeel is mellow and silky. - Food that goes well with
Saperavi shows a good compatibility with home cooking. It goes especially well with stewed dishes. - Note creator
