Introductory notes

The grapes used to make this wine come from a distinct plot within the Colțul Pietrei vineyard, located on a secluded hillside of the Dealu Mare wine region. The 5.2 hectares planted with Syrah have been completely isolated from the rest of the vineyard due to their superior quality.

Tasting notes

Appearance

Ruby color with hints of garnet.

Nose

From the first sniff, the wine delights us with nuances of black currants, black cherries, plums, blackberries, violets, complemented by subtle hints of black pepper, cocoa, and wood derived from aging in oak barrels.

Palate

The taste is well-structured, ample, with mature and fine tannins that provide a velvety, creamy, and exceptionally flavorful sensation. Towards the finish, it reminds us of the oak barrel aging with subtle hints of cocoa and dark chocolate.

Food pairing

Smoked ribs, beef or lamb steaks, yakiniku or shabu-shabu with beef.
