Introductory notes
This wine greets you with a joyful wave of fragrance, reminiscent of receiving a handful of wildflowers. Delicate notes of rose and meadow blossoms mingle with subtle herbal tones of freshly cut basil and tomato leaves, adding depth and intrigue. The overall impression recalls a fine, feminine cologne: aromatic, expressive, and irresistibly charming. An ideal choice for those who appreciate wines with a vibrant aromatic personality.
Tasting notes
Appearance
A luminous salmon pink with a radiant sheen.
Nose
Intense and complex, offering layers of basil flowers, pink roses, linden blossom, rosehip, cherry blossom, mirabelle plum flowers, elderflower, ripe pomegranate, wild raspberries, cherries, pears, peaches, strawberries, honey, and fully ripened pink grapefruit. The aromas are vivid, almost perfume-like in their refinement. As the wine opens, subtle hints of licorice and green tomato leaves begin to surface, adding nuance.
Palate
Although medium-sweet, the lively acidity brings freshness and energy. The palate is fruit-driven, highlighting strawberry, wild strawberry, and ripe pear. The interplay of sweetness and acidity recalls the sensation of fruit cake, while the texture remains silky and smooth. Flavor intensity is pronounced, the body lies between medium and full, and the finish lingers with fragrant fruit notes that leave a lasting impression of elegance and finesse.
Food pairing
A versatile companion to strawberry pastries, savarin, cherry tarts, lemon cake, crepes with sour cherry jam, strawberry shortcake, or cheese tarts. It also pairs beautifully with the bold flavors of spiced Chinese cuisine.
