About the Winery
Founded in 2014, Stori Winery is located in the Tsinandali district of Georgia's Kakheti region. Aiming to revive Georgia's traditional winemaking methods, Stori is a small winery recognized globally for its distinctive flavors and high quality. They use only grapes from their own vineyards and produce wine exclusively in traditional qvevri cellars.
All grapes are organically cultivated, with minimal preservative additions. Qvevris (clay vessels) are buried underground to naturally maintain a stable temperature, ensuring a consistent fermentation process.
After fermentation, the qvevri is sealed for an additional 2-6 months of skin contact. When opened, the clear top 30% of the wine (referred to as the “first fraction”) is bottled and exported.
