About the region

Moravia, in the southeast of the Czech Republic, is a wine region blessed with a generous natural environment and large differences between day and night temperatures. Production volumes are small, but the quality of Moravian wine is recognized worldwide, especially its white wines, known for their body, fruity character and spicy edge.

Why choose this wine?

The words on the label, "z Výsluní", mean "from the sunny slope". This Riesling comes from Na výsluní, a sun-drenched vineyard in Hustopeče, South Moravia, and was picked as a late harvest (pozdní sběr). Fresh aromas of ripe apricot, nectarine and green apple lead into pomelo and grapefruit, while lively acidity keeps everything crisp and focused. Pure, dry and remarkably food-friendly. The green tree frog on the label marks Znovín's Rosnička zelená series, reserved for wines that most clearly express the conditions of their vintage. Appearance

Clear and bright, pale straw yellow with subtle green reflections, a hallmark of a young, vibrant Riesling.

Nose

Highly attractive, fresh and aromatic. Ripe garden stone fruit such as apricot and nectarine takes center stage, joined by crisp green apple, gooseberry, meadow flowers and a bouquet of blooming daffodils. A subtle, lively hint of citrus zest adds extra lift.

Palate

Dry, pure and wonderfully refreshing. Lively, crisp acidity gives the wine structure and harmony. The fruit-driven profile moves from greengage plums and crunchy green apple to tropical and citrus notes of pomelo, pink grapefruit and orange peel. The finish is clean, harmonious and long, with delicate minerality and excellent aging potential.
