Tasting notes
Appearance
Garnet red, medium intensity.
Nose
Although the wine is 8 years old, the primary aromas are still detectable. It delights us with shades of strawberry jam, cherry jam, and red currant jam. To these aromas are added those of vanilla and chocolate, coming from aging in oak barrels. However, the predominant aromas are those developed after aging in the bottle. It shows hints of prunes, leather, earth, and mushrooms.
Palate
Dry, with moderate acidity and moderate tannins. Medium alcohol and medium body. The taste is rich and complex. The tannins are very soft, and the texture is silky, velvety, and slightly creamy.
Food pairing
It goes very well with baked duck and camembert cheese.
