The label
"Rosturi" is a word in Romanian with a deep meaning, roughly translated into English as "goals and purpose." It embodies a philosophical concept that combines "reason for living" and "joy of living," suggesting the depth and consistency of this wine.
It is "something done with meaning for someone else". "Rosturi" conveys the idea that wine has stories to tell and carries a deep meaning behind it.
Tasting notes
- Appearance
Deep ruby color. - Nose
The aroma is intense, dominated by black fruits. It presents aromas of ripe black cherries, blackberries, and blueberries, with nuances of spices (cloves, cinnamon, licorice), dark chocolate, coffee, and a hint of vanilla. - Palate
It is dry, with a high alcohol content. The tannins are abundant, and the flavor is rich and intense. It has a solid structure and is medium to full-bodied. Dominated by ripe black fruits, it is a wine with a satisfying mouthfeel. The balance of all elements is excellent, resulting in a smooth mouthfeel without any sharp edges. Although the tannins are plentiful, they are well-ripened, giving the texture a velvety sensation. The finish is long, leaving lingering flavors of black fruits. - Food pairing
It pairs well with beef teppanyaki, lean beef steak, roasted lamb, and aged cheeses.
