Tasting notes
- Appearance
Deep ruby with garnet hues. - Nose
A rich wine with high complexity. Aromas of black currant, black cherry, plum, blackberry, sour cherry and blueberry, completed by nuances of chocolate, cacao, earth and coffee. - Palate
A very elegant Merlot with a nice balance of fruit and acidity. Rich in tannins, but very fine and velvety on the palate. Aftertaste is very long. Complex and expressive. A very high quality wine. - Food pairing
Wagyu beef teppanyaki, Genghis Khan, aged cheese. - Conclusions
The quality level is outstanding. It's enjoyable to drink now, but the potential for aging is exceptionally high. The suggested drinking window ranges from the present to 2040. Truly a standout among Romanian wines.
