Introductory notes

When Count Piero Antinori first visited Romania, he was captivated by the local wines. He immediately decided to purchase a small vineyard in the Dealu Mare region and named it "Via Marchizului" or "The Marquis' Vineyard."

Via Marchizului is an exceptional vineyard in the Dealu Mare region. There are only three grape varieties cultivated here: Negru de Dragasani, Feteasca neagra, and Pinot Noir.

This wine is produced from single-vineyard, fully organically grown grapes.

  • Nose
It has clear fruit and floral aromas mixed with elements of spices, showing complexity and depth. It carries nuances of blueberries, plums, strawberry jam, cinnamon, cloves, and red flowers.

However, the Dealu Mare wine region was hit by hail towards the end of spring, significantly impacting the vineyards and reducing the harvest by half. The grapes benefited from increased mineral resources, physico-chemical properties, and high sugar content.
