The wine region

The Moravia region in the Czech Republic benefits from a significant diurnal range and is blessed with a favorable natural environment for wine production. While it may not produce wines in large quantities, the quality of Moravian wines is recognized worldwide. Moravian white wines are particularly known for their richness, fruity character, and spiciness.

Tasting notes

  • Appearance
    Clear and deep lemon color.
  • Nose
The nose is rich, with notes of apple, lime, lemon peel, fennel, chamomile, jasmine, orchard blossoms, grass, flint, wet stone, toast, petrol, nuts, honey, and gingerbread.
  • Palate
The residual sugar and ample acidity complement each other beautifully. The presence of petrol notes on the palate is gentle and not overpowering, making it appealing even for those new to Riesling. It has a medium body, and the finish is long, leaving a delicate fruitiness lingering in the mouth.
  • Food pairing
This wine is a versatile choice that can complement fatty, high-acid, or salty dishes. It can go nicely with spicy Chinese cuisine, fish curry, herbed sausages and bacon pot-au-feu, asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and fried, pork sautéed with mango sauce, ham carpaccio, shrimp chili, Thai, Vietnamese, and Korean cuisine, as well as salads featuring coriander.
