Meet Elod Adam – A Wine Expert Like No Other

Elod Adam is a distinguished wine professional who is just one step away from earning the prestigious Master of Wine title (he has passed two of the three rigorous MW exams). With a career spanning roles as a sommelier, wine director, importer, educator, and an international wine judge, Elod’s experience is as rich as it is diverse.

He has directed wine programs at top restaurants, led education for major distributors, and managed portfolios for renowned importers. In 2016 he returned to Romania to start his own wine consulting and importing business, bringing global expertise back to his homeland.

Elod’s philosophy captures the heart of what makes wine special. He believes wine isn’t only about taste – it’s a journey through culture, history, and geography in a bottle.

Despite his impressive résumé, Elod is known for his humble, open-minded approach. He loves to share stories and knowledge, making wine approachable and fun for enthusiasts. This event is your chance to get to know Elod personally, hear his wine adventures (from vineyard travels to judging world-class wines), and ask him your burning wine questions.

Prepare your palate for an exclusive tasting of Romania’s top wines – a lineup hand-selected by Elod Adam to showcase the very best of his home country’s vineyards. Elod will guide you through the history and terroir behind each wine, explaining what makes it special and how it earned its accolades.
