Introductory notes
Fetească Regală is Romania’s most widely planted grape variety. Its adaptability to both cool and warm climates makes it a highly versatile grape, capable of expressing a wide range of styles and characteristics.
Tasting notes
Appearance
Bright and healthy medium lemon color.
Nose
Vibrant and fruit-forward, with generous aromas of peach, nectarine, green apple, and pear. Citrus notes of lemon and grapefruit are enhanced by subtle floral hints of acacia, elderflower, and linden blossom.
Palate
Refreshing and expressive on the palate, with a solid structure that exceeds expectations for this price point. A touch of residual sugar gives it a soft, rounded mouthfeel, while crisp acidity supports the wine's vibrant fruit profile. The finish is medium in length, leaving elegant notes of lemon, lime, green apple, and pear.
Food pairing
Excellent as a meal wine. Pairs well with grilled white fish and herbs, nanbanzuke, caponata, grilled chicken, yogurt-based salads, fresh cheese, and a variety of Japanese dishes.
