Introduction

Crafted from 47-year-old Merlot vines, this wine is truly remarkable. With a high likelihood of a price increase in the coming years, it is highly recommended for wine collectors. Letting it mature will allow the wine to develop beautifully.

Tasting notes

Appearance

Deep ruby with garnet hues.

Nose

A rich and highly complex wine. Aromas of black currant, black cherry, plum, blackberry, sour cherry, and blueberry are complemented by nuances of chocolate, cacao, earth, and coffee.

Palate

A very elegant Merlot with a perfect balance of fruit and acidity. Rich in tannins, but very fine and velvety on the palate. The aftertaste is long, complex, and expressive. This is a very high-quality wine.

Food pairing

Wagyu beef teppanyaki, Genghis Khan, aged cheese.

Conclusions

The quality level is outstanding. While enjoyable to drink now, the potential for aging is exceptionally high, with a suggested drinking window extending to 2040. This is truly a standout among Romanian wines.
